Highfields is in need of a new Police Station with the area currently being policed by the Highfields Residential Police Beat which has a staff of two officers.

Queensland Police Service are searching for a suitable location for the expanding township after modelling reveals that the block on Highfields Road that was purchased in 2009 would flood and be cut off if we were to experience a massive weather event.

The State Government announced last year that the Highfields community should have its own dedicated police station.

QPS are currently in the process of acquiring a new site for the station.
