A Toowoomba Bookkeeper to Face Court Over Fraud Charges
$60,000 worth of pain for dentist
A Toowoomba Bookkeeper is due to face court next month over fraud charges.
The bookkeeper is being investigated after a large amount of cash was reported missing by a local dentist.
Police have charged the bookkeeper with fraud alleging that the bookkeeper transferred $60,000 from his clients account to the bookkeepers personal account.
The dental practice alerted police after he was told by the Australian Taxation Office that he of owed taxes.
The man who looked after the dentist’s daily financial transaction is being charged with ‘stealing as a clerk or servant’ and is due to face a magistrate next month.
