An Unwanted Visitor Slithers It’s Way through Grand Central

It’s not a visitor you would expect to see at your local shopping centre, a red belly black snake, but that’s what was discovered at Grand Central in Toowoomba’s CBD recently.
The slithering unexpected visitor was located living in the wall of the centre near an elevator on the ground floor after being sighted around the centre.
Toowoomba Snake Catchers 24/7 were called in to nab the reptile and safely relocate it on Sunday.
While the Red Belly Black Snake is considered dangerous and you certainly do not want to be on the receiving end of an encounter, a bite from it is not generally fatal and is less venomous than other Australian elapid snakes.
