Applications Are Open Now for the Local Drug Action Team

Southern Downs organisations are being encouraged to get involved in a program to tackle the “Ice” epidemic.

Applications are open now for the Local Drug Action Team with $10,000 being made available to help with the issue.

The money will be used on local programs that will help to tackle ice problem in the community.

Maranoa MP David Littleproud says we need an approach that will help everyone:

“This should not just be about educating young people.  There are people who have now passed through secondary school that require education as well.  It’s has to be a broad spectrum approach in the terms of education.

This drug does not discriminate, it’s one that takes advantage of anybody.”
