Police are calling for help from the public to identify two men who allegedly attempted to abduct a 5-year-old girl.

The incident happened on the corner of Luck and Parker Street on Tuesday afternoon.

Police believe the girl was offered lollies from one of the men while she was riding her tricycle in broad daylight.

The plan was foiled by a neighbour and the young girls siblings who were nearby and yelled out at the men.

The man who approached the girl with the lollies is described as being in his early 30s, caucasian, with short black or brown hair.

He was wearing a green shirt, black shorts, thongs. 

The second man is described as also being in his early 30s, caucasian, with a slim build, short black hair and beard.

He was wearing a long-sleeved black shirt, black track pants with a white stripe down each leg and no shoes.
