Have you received an email from Australia Post? Be warned – all may not be as it seems in your inboxes.

An Australia Post scam is currently doing the rounds in the form of an email that contains malicious software.

The email may look legit providing the details of a person’s online purchase, claiming to have missed delivering the parcel and is trying to arrange for delivery.

Please note that Australia Post will not email a customer nor will they call customers asking them for personal details such as bank account details, passwords or credit card details.

While Queensland Police Service is warning the public that Australia Post will never ask customers to click on an email link to print off a label in order to redeem a package.

If you receive any suspicious emails like the one pictured above, police are asking that you do not click on any links or attachments and that you delete it immediately.
