A 21-year-old man who handed himself in to police after an attempted armed robbery on the weekend has been granted bail.

Police allege that Jayden Thomas Hoey Preston attempted to hold up a Perth Street store at knife point on Sunday October 1st.

Mr Preston appeared before the courts yesterday and will reappear on December 4 to answer to the charges of armed robbery and entering a property with intent.

Preston was not required to enter a plea.
