A young boy who has been linked with the armed car theft of a Darling Heights woman is being dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

It is alleged that on Saturday morning (April 21), a 29-year-old woman was threatened by a male youth armed with a tomahawk in an attempt to steal the woman’s car.

The group of juveniles successful in their attempt, stole the woman’s white Honda HRV which was later found in Kingsthorpe.

Police investigations are continuing, they are appealing for anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage, or anyone who saw four to five juvenile males in the vicinity of Birch Court and Platz Street between 10.30AM and 11.15AM to contact police.
