A Pittsworth brother and sister who were hit by a car on their way to school last week are now out of intensive care.

The pair were airlifted to Lady Cilento Hospital in Brisbane by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper in a critical condition last Wednesday and were placed in intensive care where they remained until yesterday.

Both children are expected to make a full recovery.

The children were struck by a ute at the intersection of Murray and Yandilla Streets, Pittsworth.
