Car Collides with Railway Bridge
Offender struggles with police
Police allege that on October 28th a 48-year-old man from Helidon was involved in a single vehicle traffic crash after his car collided with a railway bridge in Railway Street, Grantham.
The man initially refused to provide a specimen of his breath to police for analysis and was detained to carry out a further breath test.
The man refused to cooperate with police and a brief struggle ensued. He was then placed into a police vehicle where it will be alleged that the man punched out and broke the window of the vehicle.
The man later provided a specimen of breath, returning a reading of 0.126.
The man is due to appear before the Toowoomba Magistrates Court November 14 in relation to the incident.
