City Golf Clubs Keeps Driving for Success
Winner of two prestigious awards
The City Golf Club this week took out two prestigious Keno & Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence. Over 1000 guests from across the State attended the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre to see City Golf Club take home the award for ‘Best Club Diversification’ while being recognised as the ‘Best Club Darling Downs and South-West Queensland.’
The Best Club Diversification award is bestowed on a club that successfully establishes and branches out into new products and services beyond those traditionally associated with community club operations.
Clubs Queensland Chief Executive Officer, Doug Flockhart, congratulated City Golf Club on their awards success.
“This is a great win for the Toowoomba club as they continue to establish and broaden their revenue streams,” Mr Flockhart said.
“They won this award last year as well and have showed that diversifying into new products and services can provide an effective path to sustainable growth while enhancing their club offer to their membership base.”
“With the right people, business plan and structure in place, City Gold Club have proved that diversification and innovation are important in being competitive and maintaining relevancy so I’m pleased to see them again win the award for best club in the region.”
