Cancer Council Queensland has been announced as the beneficiary for the first ever Clifford Park Winter Wonderland Ball.

The event scheduled for Saturday, July 21, will be held inside Toowoomba’s new, Clive Berghofer Grande Atrium.

In South Queensland, more than 2,000 people are diagnosed with cancer each year, and every dollar raised through events like the Clifford Park Winter Wonderland Ball, gives them much-needed hope.

Toowoomba Turf Club Chief Executive Officer Blair Odgers said he is excited to form a new partnership.

“Clifford Park is delighted to support Cancer Council Queensland and aid Cancer research.”

Working in conjunction with local charities is part of Clifford Park’s Community strategy.

“Being able to host an event in winter will really enable Clifford Park to showcase our newest asset - the Clive Berghofer Grande Atrium, with climate control heating. It will also provide supporters, with the opportunity to enjoy a night at the races whilst raising needed funds,” Mr Odgers said.

Tickets are just $80 per person, with proceeds being donated to Cancer Council Queensland. The package includes a four - hour gourmet canapé package with chocolate fountain, a glass of Moet or Stella Artois on arrival, live entertainment, funny money bookmaker promotion, whiskey tasting, party games and of course, local horse racing.

There will also be the opportunity to further help raise funds for Cancer Council on the night.

Tickets can be purchased at www.cliffordpark.com.au
