A court has banned a boxer who is facing domestic violence charges returning to the Garden City.

The man is facing charges after allegedly pushing a woman out of a moving car and holding her hostage for two days while in Toowoomba.

A Brisbane court judge told the 26-year-old boxer that he was reluctant to grant bail but a lack of admissible evidence had weighed in his favour.

His case is next listed for a committal mention on Monday, February 26.
