CRIME WATCH: From Stolen Items to Fuel Drive Off
Can you help solve any of these crimes?
HELIDON: FUEL DRIVE OFF
On Tuesday October 16, at 4:30am a man (depicted in image below) stopped at a service station on the Warrego Highway, Helidon. The vehicle was towing a trailer at the time. Neither the car or the trailer registration numbers can be clearly identified.
The man proceeds to pump a large quantity of unleaded fuel into the vehicle, a fuel tank on the rear of the utility and further jerry cans, he then drove off without paying for the petrol.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the male pictured in the supplied image above.

TOOWOOMBA: STOLEN VEHICLE MAZDA CX-5
Around 1:30pm on Sunday October 21, a woman parked her vehicle in the centre car parks on Margaret Street, Toowoomba directly opposite the cinemas.
She locked the car and put the keys in her pocket, making her way to the cinema. At approximately 3:30pm she noticed the keys were no longer in her pocket. She returned to where she had parked her car to find it was gone. The woman believes the keys fell from her pocket while crossing the road in the rain with the children when going to the cinema.
Description of the vehicle is a grey 2017 Mazda CX-5 wagon, Queensland Registration number 468XHZ. The vehicle has a yellow space saver wheel/tyre on the driver’s rear. The full-size wheel/tyre is flat in the boot. The image below is similar to the vehicle stolen but not the actual car stolen.
At 1:45pm the victim’s vehicle was seen driving into camera view west on Margaret Street and does a U turn just west of the cinemas. The vehicle then headed east on Margaret Street toward Hume Street.

On October 10, Toowoomba Police attended an address in North Street, Toowoomba where the below images of jewellery was located.
Police have exhausted all avenues to date trying to locate the ower(s) of the above items.
