Detectives have charged two men following an armed robbery in Drayton yesterday afternoon.

Police will allege around 1.30pm the men forced their way into a residence on Ladner Street before one of the men produced a replica firearm and demanded property from the male victim.

The men fled the scene with a sum of cash but were apprehended by police a short time later.

A 19-year-old man from Top Camp has been charged with armed robbery and enter dwelling with intent.

A 19-year-old man from Middle Ridge has been charged with armed robbery, enter dwelling with intent and possession of drug utensil. He has also been charged with three counts of possession of dangerous drugs and two counts of possession of restricted drugs.

They are due to appear at the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today, October 14.

The 18-year-old male victim was not physically injured during the incident.
