There is $44.3 million in unclaimed superannuation in Toowoomba according to new figures released by Westpac.

Darling Downs sits at #3 out of the top 5 hot spots in Queensland for unclaimed superannuation.

Westpac Superannuation spokesperson Hannah Oakhill is putting Toowoomba down to being a lost superannuation hotspot because of seasonal workers in the tourism industry.

Ms Oakhill says it easy to claim and explains what to do if you think you have unclaimed superannuation:

“All lost funds sit with the ATO so it is very easy for customers to claim back.  They just need to contact their fund or Westpac can help them in terms of what their options may be.”
