A 41-year-old Pittsworth man has sustained burns to his face after a barbeque gas cylinder exploded.

The man was taken to the Toowoomba Hospital by the Brisbane-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter.

He was later transferred to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
