A grandma from the Goondiwindi region is crying happy tears at the revelation she’s now $2 million richer from winning division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto $20 Million Superdraw.

Lady luck was on her side on Saturday night’s draw, the woman holding one of the 10 division one winning entries nationally in the June 23 draw.

Each first division winning entry took home a division one prize of $2 million.

The Southern Downs resident admitted she discovered her win early yesterday morning and has since “spent nearly the whole time crying” from sheer happiness.

“Oh my God! Absolutely amazing. I’m crying, but they’re happy tears!

“I thought I had won but I just needed it confirmed.

“I checked my ticket online at about 4.30am on Sunday morning and got others out of bed to check my ticket. I’ve just been waiting for your call!

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her 50-game QuickPick entry at Bishops Goondiwindi, 70 Marshall Street, Goondiwindi.
