A 34-year-old Harlaxton man remained at the watch house when his matters were brought before the Toowoomba Magistrates Court yesterday.

The accused was not required to enter a plea to charges laid against him in the stabbing of a woman in East Toowoomba on Saturday.

Charges include, entering a premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, wilful damage and causing grievous bodily harm to the woman.

The woman sustained a stab wound to her back and was taken to the Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The offender was remanded in custody with the matter adjourned or a committal mention on March 14th on the same court.

However, as the charges stood the matter would most likely move to higher court.
