Nexus Infrastructure says they will be working with authorities to achieve higher safety standards on the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing after latest figures reveal that there have been 70 statutory breaches of notice handed out since the project began in mid-2016.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland says of those 70, 16 have been mobile plant rollovers.  They have conducted more than 200 site visits and begun 15 "comprehensive investigations into incidents at the site".

Things ramped up recently with more than 40 of the notices handed out in the past 5 months.

Workplace Health and Safety expressed their concerns in September of last year saying it “was seriously concerned about the "high number" of dangerous incidents on the TSRC project.”
