Two men have been killed in a single vehicle rollover on the weekend while a third man was airlifted to a Toowoomba Hospital by the Toowoomba based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper.

A man aged 49 and another aged 23 were both thrown from the vehicle they were travelling in after it lost control on a bend on Bundi Road, Wandoan on Sunday morning.

Both men died at the scene.

The surviving passenger, a 26-year-old male, life was saved due to the fact that he was wearing a seatbelt.  He is in a Toowoomba hospital in a stable condition.

While police continue to investigate the fatal accident they believe three out of the "fatal five" offences have played a major part in the crash, with lack of seat belts being the primary culprit.
