Around 500 motor bike riders from around the region hit the road on the weekend as part of a fundraiser for slain police officer Senior Constable Brett Forte.

Bikes from across the region made their way from Toowoomba through to Gatton - returning to the Garden City.

Forte's brother Chris describing it as a fitting tribute.

Darling Downs Harley-Davidson and the Darling Downs Harley Owners Group and the motorcycle community raised more than $10,000 for the Forte family.

The charity bike ride finished at the Toowoomba Showgrounds, where it joined forces with Toowoomba Old Skool Krome’s Brett Forte Memorial Show.

More than 500 cars were on display at the showgrounds, entry was by donation which saw at last but not final count around $8500 also being raised for the Forte family.
