Inland Rail Project to Become a Reality

Toowoomba Regional Council Mayor, Paul Antonio is backing the Federal Governments budget.
The Commonwealth announced on Tuesday night that $8.4 billion will go to the Inland Rail project over the next 10 years.
Councillor Antonio says that inland rail means a lot to the Darling Downs and surrounds.
“It means jobs, and it means that our dream of having that ‘golden trifecta’ is here.
We dreamt of having an airport, we dreamt of having a by-pass, we dreamt of having a rail line – all these dreams are in the process of becoming true and how lucky are we.
We would be the luckiest spot in Australia. There have been a lot of people that have gone before me who have clearly advocated for all these projects who are the real heroes."
