Police are continuing their investigations into an incident that saw a B-Double catch fire and end up in a Southern Downs potato paddock on the weekend.

It's believed that a truck hit and ran down 50 meters of guard rail at the Freestone Creek Bridge on Saturday.  The truck and its load catching fire.

Fire crews called out from Warwick, Freestone, Allora and Maryvale to help extinguish the blaze.

The driver in his 50's did not require any medical treatment however the truck and it's cargo were extensively damaged.
