John Wagner Creates New Tourism Organisation

Tourism operators across the South Burnett, Southern Downs and Darling Downs are being encouraged to get behind a newly formed tourism organisation.

Wellcamp Airport owner John Wagner has started Darling Downs Tourism an organisation created to boost tourism in the region.

The group covers a footprint of extending from Kingaroy to Stanthorpe.

Chairman John Wagner says operators aren’t the only piece to the tourism puzzle.

“We believe that the tourism industry here is much bigger than the operators and anyone that actually feeds off the tourism industry et: the baker, the butcher the fruit guy, all those sorts of things need to be part of the tourism organisation because they are part of the tourism industry.” – John Wagner
