The mother who orchestrated the rape of her then 16-year-old daughter in a Toowoomba hotel room in 2006 could be released from prison as early as October.

A man known as Thommo who raped the teenager, is believed to be the boyfriend of the girls’ mother.  The assault happened while her mother knowingly sat outside smoking.

The mother was jailed for four years after her daughter went public with her story earlier this year.

A petition has been launched in a plea to the Attorney-General to appeal the case stating that the time spent in prison is inadequate for the crime committed.

Her rapist has never been caught.
