Let’s Roll!! First Coat Festival is Back for 2017

First Coat is an annual Festival & Outdoor Gallery, driven by making arts and culture accessible through the transformation of public space. One of Australia’s most prominent, regional arts projects, First Coat draws together high-calibre artists to create a permanent gallery of street-artworks in the heart of Toowoomba. Initiated as part of GraffittiSTOP Queensland, First Coat gets people engaging with the streets and public spaces and connecting with each other.

In 2017, First Coat is rapt to be bringing over 20 artists from across the nation and the globe, including two artists from arts collective Cyrcle (USA), Jeremy Fish (USA), Lauren Holm (USA) and the likes of Mike Shankster (Sydney), Carla McRae (Melbourne), Tristan Kerr (Adelaide), Sirmano (Brisbane) and popular, local artist Bronte Naylor (Toowoomba).

First Coat Festival delivers a program of synergetic art experiences including exhibitions, live performances, artist talks, venue activations, youth events and workshops for all ages.
