Local Hollywood Star’s Childhood Home Up For Grabs

The Toowoomba childhood home of Oscar winning actor Geoffrey Rush is on the market.

The home where Rush lived as a child was originally located at 9 Robertson Street in South Toowoomba but was bought over 10-years- ago and relocated, it now sits on an impressive 39 hectares at Wyberba on the Granite Belt.

The current owner of the property recently put the historic home on the market due to health reasons – it’s listed and ready for sale, telling The Chronicle that that if somebody wanted to buy the house separately, he would be open to offers - subject to his bank's approval.

The property has been renovated over the years but still retains its old-world charm.
