The 27-year-old man who faces 22 charges in relation to the shooting of another man last week was yesterday denied bail in the Toowoomba Magistrates court.

The accused was already on bail at the time of the shooting.

The court heard how CCTV footage placed the offender at the scene where a 41-year-old man was shot in the neck last week at Newtown.

The man is now facing many charges including seven of possessing dangerous drugs and one of acts intending to cause grievous bodily harm, unlawful possession of a weapon and supplying dangerous drugs.  He openly wept when the Magistrate denied him bail.

He has not yet been required to enter a plea.

The matter was adjourned with his case up for mention in the same court on July 30.

It was revealed that police are still looking for another suspect involved in the incident.
