A Withcott service station was robbed last night by a man wielding a machete.

The robbery took place around 9:30PM after a man entered the servo and demanded money and cigarettes from an attendant – he gave the man what he wanted, he was not injured.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall, aged 35 to 40-years-old with an obese build and bald head.

He was wearing a light-coloured singlet, light blue jeans and a grey bandana tied across his face.

The offender remains on the run.
