Man Charged Following Armed Robbery

Detectives have charged a man following an alleged armed robbery in Toowoomba yesterday afternoon.
Police say that around 4.45pm, a man entered a James Street restaurant and threated staff with a knife while making demands for money.
A staff member handed over a sum of cash and the man fled the business on foot.
The offender was arrested in James Street a short time later.
A 47-year-old Maryborough man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and unlawful possession of a category M weapon.
He is appeared in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.
