Man to Front Dalby Court Today

A 50-year-old man will appear in the Dalby court today facing serious assault, grievous bodily harm, unlawful possession of weapon and injuring animals charge.

On Wednesday a 75-year-old man was allegedly hit in the back with an axe handle, struck in the leg with a blade and his dog shot.

The victim was airlifted from the Tara hospital to Toowoomba.

Police claim the man was targeted after he’d mistakenly shot the other man’s dog thinking it was wild.
