His initial appearance before court was for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, disqualified driving and drug driving on a probationary licence in October last year.

What police discovered once they pulled this man over was something else.  The 31-year-old was discovered driving on a rolled up foam mattress that he was using as his front seat.

His matter on the above offences was adjourned, however as he exited court after his appearance, matters were made worse when he allegedly punched two cameramen who had followed him leaving court, leading the man to face further charges – two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.

He appeared before the same court yesterday on all five charges and told the court he wanted to plead guilty to all counts.

Mr Walker accepted the offenders’ pleas of guilty to each of the charges and remanded him on bail to appear for sentence on January 29.
