The countdown is on for the opening of Stage Two of Grand Central’s $500 million redevelopment, which is set to deliver even more retailers, including Toowoomba newcomers, Jimmy Rod’s Barbershop and Zing Pop Culture.

Grand Central Retail Manager Kathleen Hart said the redevelopment will deliver even greater variety for shoppers — all under one roof.

“We’re really pleased to welcome some new names to the centre and Toowoomba, and to update the look of some of our existing retailers,” Ms Hart said.

“The opening of Stage Two isn’t too far away now and we can’t wait to share our expanded offer with Grand Central customers.”

Jimmy Rod's Barbershop

There's barbers and then there's Jimmy Rod's! Jimmy Rod’s Barbershops aren’t just places to get a cut and shave, they are a modern-day oasis of authentic masculinity, camaraderie and style.  Jimmy Rod's is located on the ground level of the extension.

Zing Pop Culture

Zing Pop Culture is an Australian pop culture retailer, stocking the latest and greatest in Adventure Time, Game of Thrones, Pokémon, DC Comics, Star Wars, POP! Vinyl, Nintendo, Minecraft, Marvel and more.

Located on Level 2 of the extension.

Shane Stockwell, Senior Director EB Games and Zing Pop Culture, said they were thrilled to bring Zing Pop Culture to the Darling Downs region.

“We’re excited to bring the ultimate gift-giving store to Toowoomba for the first time.  The response from residents has been incredible and we look forward to seeing them in store soon,” he said.

While the centre welcomes new stores Just Cuts is happy to announce the opening of their second store in the centre which will be located on the ground level of the expanded Grand Central, adjacent to the new Kmart.

The extension will also feature a relocated, bigger and better City Beach store.
