Mt Peel Bushland Park Fuel Reduction Burn Planned This Week

Toowoomba Regional Council are this week planning a fuel reduction burn in the Mt Peel area on Toowoomba’s south-western edge in conjunction with Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES).
Council officers and QFES officers are scheduled to start a controlled burn from today, Wednesday, June 20 at Mt Peel Bushland Park, weather permitting.
Cr Ramia said the Mt Peel burn would be contained in Council’s bushland park and was expected to take two days.
