A 21-year-old man accused of murdering a Gatton school girl has plead not guilty to the charge.

Brendan Jacob Bennetts appeared in the Brisbane Supreme court yesterday answering to the murder 16-year-old Gatton girl Jayde Kendall in 2015.

Bennetts instead plead guilty to manslaughter and interfering with a corpse.

The prosecution told the Court that Bennetts would have rough sex with girls and squeeze them hard by the throat during sex.

The Crown rejected the manslaughter plea with Mr Bennetts murder trial moving forward.

Jayde Kendall's body was found on August 27, 2015 on a property at Upper Tent Hill in the Lockyer Valley.

The trial continues.
