Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) has started reviewing public responses that were submitted during the recent community consultation on the Russell Street Refresh draft plan.

TRC Strategic Planning and Economic Development portfolio leader Cr Anne Glasheen said Council appreciated residents and business owners showing an interest over the past month by contributing interesting ideas for upgrading the streetscape.

Cr Glasheen said that feedback received through the consultation would be used as input for the final Russell Street streetscape plan.

“The feedback will guide the development of the final streetscape plan which will be presented to Council later this year,” Cr Glasheen said.

“The draft plan proposes upgrading footpaths, building a central median strip between Victoria and Ruthven streets, planting street trees, installing new street furniture, upgrading street and footpath lighting and installing public artworks.
