Things didn’t exactly go to plan for a man accused of an attempted break-in of a North Toowoomba home.

The man’s escape came to an abrupt end when the offender was tracked down by a police dog and bitten, not once, but twice.

A 24-year-old and his accomplice tried to break into the Raff Street property on Monday night around 9:30pm.

The Dog Squad tracked the man down with the dog allegedly biting the man on the leg before the offender fled.

The man was tracked down for a second time with the dog biting him on the shoulder.

The man sustained minor inquiries and was taken into custody and has been charged.

The second person is still at large.
