NRL superstar Darius Boyd will visit Toowoomba in March to shine a spotlight on mental health issues and help raise funds for the Acute Mental Health Unit at the Toowoomba Hospital.

The ‘Legends at their Game’ luncheon will be hosted by the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and will be held on Friday, 3 March at The Spotted Cow Hotel.

Darius will be joined by NRL player well-being consultant Jason Fiddes who together have embarked on a solutions-based mission that includes opening up about their own mental health battles to encourage help seeking behaviour and the practice of good mental health.

The funds will be used to help people locally overcome their own battles and we are looking forward to not only raising awareness of the importance of mental health, but being able to assist those currently struggling with the funds raised, said Alison Kennedy.

There are 180 seats available for the luncheon with tickets costing $140 (or table of 12 for $1680), which includes a three course lunch and beverages, and can be booked at www.trybooking.com/OMQG.
