A Southern region police senior constable who has been charged with computer hacking and misuse will appear in a Warwick court next month.

The 39-year-old senior constable was the subject of an investigation into allegations of inappropriate access and disclosure of information.

The man was stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service yesterday.  He will perform non-operational duties.

The officer will appear in the Warwick Magistrates Court on August 14.
