2017 Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers BLOOMING MARVELLOUS!

Now in its 68th year, Australia's longest running floral show, Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers (15-24 September), also arguably has the largest blooming footprint on the planet.  An event that spans a whopping 1,181 hectares!

Toowoomba Regional Council takes the carnival so seriously it invested in a seed planting machine, saving at least 1,000 work hours in the task of raising 190,000 seedlings for the event, including 17,000 grown in pots. Many of the resulting blooms will feature on Grand Central Floral Parade floats.

Following months of preparation – not least being the planting of 160,000 annuals and 20,000 bulbs – and with a 2017 Australian Tourism Awards ‘gold’ (Major Festivals and Events category) under its belt, the 10-day carnival is set to burst into a riot of colour and fun.

Not purely for the green thumbs, it also features a stellar entertainment program, including live music from The Temper Trap, Daryl Braithwaite and The Angels; food and wine; park and pub tours and more.

LIVE music from Daryl Brathwaite + The Temper Trap + The Paper Kites + The Angels + The Voices + The Diamonds + Boys in the Band + Alex Lahey + Isaiah, plus floral fun and the Grand Central Floral Parade – what’s not to love about this time of year.

So, pack your walking (and party) shoes because the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is EXACTLY ONE MONTH AWAY!!
