Peters Coaches, the longest serving coach company on the Darling Downs has made its last stop.
Founded in 1950, the third generation, family owned and operated business, ceased to operate as of Monday December 11th.
In a statement released by the company, they thanked their loyal customers, clients and partners:
“It is with immense sadness that we inform you that Peters Coaches will no longer be in operation after Monday 11 December 2017. It has been an absolute pleasure knowing each and every one of you and we wish you all the very best for the future.
Russell & Noelene Peters, along with their children Cheryse Bliesner and Dane Bliesner would like to say a huge THANK YOU to each and every one of you that have supported Peters Coaches over the last 67 years of business within Toowoomba and the Darling Downs region. We are eternally grateful for the endless support we have received from our loyal customers and client base.
We have fought a hard fight to save the Peters family legacy during difficult economic times - however, it is now time for us to travel on."
The Peters team won the 2017 Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce Heritage Bank Business Excellence awards for the category of 'Tourism' as well as being a finalist for 'Transport and Logistics'.
The Peters family will remain in Toowoomba.
