Police have appealed to the public for help with their investigations in a fatal traffic crash at Minden on Saturday December 9.

They have released images of vehicles that were in the area at the time of the crash in the hope that someone saw something that can assist them with their inquiries.

The accident happened at the intersection of the Warrego Highway and Lowood-Minden road at 11:45AM.

The driver of a hatchback sedan, a 67-year-old Regency Downs woman and her passenger, an 18-year-old Redbank Plains woman died at the scene. A third woman, a 21-year-old from Redbank Plains, was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with critical injuries.

A 37-year-old Burpengary East man, the driver and sole occupant of a utility, sustained minor injuries.

The Warrego Highway was closed for a number of hours before re-opening around 6pm.

Police believe the occupants of the vehicles pictured may be able to assist with their inquiries and are appealing for those people to contact Policelink on 131444.

The vehicles are a white tip truck towing earth moving equipment and a white van (similar to a Toyota Tarago) which were both travelling east on the highway.

A small white sedan adjacent to a fire truck and a dual cab utility towing a trailer at the stop sign on Lowood Minden Road. This vehicle had a green tarpaulin in the rear tray and the trailer appears to be similar to a landscaper’s trailer.

Investigations are continuing.
