Police have charged a 22-year-old man following investigations into an attempted armed robbery at Drayton this evening.
It will be alleged that around 5pm, a man entered a supermarket on Brisbane Street and approached the service desk.
Police will further allege that the man produced a knife, threatened a female store employee, and made demands for cash.
A number of customers held the man until police arrived and took him into custody without incident.
No one was hurt during the incident.
