Detectives have charged a man following investigations into the armed robbery of a service station at Southbrook on January 4.

Police allege the man used a gun to force entry into the service station before threatening a male employee and demanding money and cigarettes.

Two men then allegedly left the business with a sum of cash and cigarettes in a car.

A 27-year-old Millmerran man appeared in Toowoomba Magistrates Court today charged with one count each of armed robbery in company, enter premise and commit an indictable offence, dangerous conduct with a weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm and failing to stop a vehicle.

The second man involved in the incident remains outstanding and police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
