A woman was confronted with a man armed with a tomahawk in Darling Heights yesterday morning.

At 11AM, a 29-year-old woman parked her white Honda HRV near a Birch Court residence.  The woman was nearby when she noticed group of juvenile males enter her vehicle.

As she ran towards her car, one of the males exited the vehicle and fled the scene.

The woman opened the driver’s door and was threatened by one of the males who was armed with a tomahawk.

The group drove away in the stolen vehicle, which was later located on Massey Street, Kingsthorpe.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage, or anyone who saw four to five juvenile males in the vicinity of Birch Court and Platz Street between 10.30AM and 11.15AM to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
