Police are speaking with four people following a series of incidents that occurred in Toowoomba early this morning.

At around 3:10am, a station wagon, believed to be stolen, left a service station at Highfields failing to pay for fuel.

The driver then made their way on to the New England Highway before police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device at the intersection of Ruthven Street and Lucene Street.

When approaching the intersection at Stenner Street, police called off the pursuit due to heavy vehicles approaching.

The car continued driving a short distance before being located unoccupied at the intersection of Muller and Kratzman Streets.

The police dog squad was deployed and successfully located two men and two women.  One of the male offenders was bitten by one of the dogs.

He was treated at the scene then transported to Toowoomba Base Hospital with a minor wound.

Investigations are continuing.
