Police used the Labour Day weekend to carry out a number of raids across the Southern Downs resulting in 19 people being charged with 65 offences.

Police carried out search warrant across Warwick, Leyburn, Killarney and Wheatvale over the long weekend.

In total, they seized around $20,000 worth of drugs, six firearms, silencers and cash.

Some people arrested are believed to be linked with outlaw motorcycle gangs.  All are due in front of a Warwick court on June 6.

Nineteen men and women aged between 25-54 were charged with 65 serious drug and firearm offences, including the unlawful supply of cocaine, steroids and ice.

The group were released on bail and are due to appear at Warwick Magistrates Court on June 6.

Police acknowledged the public for contributing to the success of the operation by supplying information through Crime Stoppers.
