On Wednesday April 12, police from Toowoomba attended a hit and run at Alderley and Hume Street roundabout which occurred at approximately 4pm when a pedestrian has been hit by a white vehicle which he believes was a white VN commodore V8 with deep dish wheels. No registration number was obtained.

The pedestrian states the vehicle has proceeded down Alderley Street towards Ruthven and failed to indicate at the roundabout. The pedestrian has walked across the road.

The vehicle has turned right into Hume Street where the person was crossing and the vehicle has proceeded at speed and lost control around the roundabout hitting the man causing him to go on the bonnet and likely smashing the windscreen. The victim then fell to the ground and the vehicle has failed to remain at the scene.

There is no CCTV footage available.
