Toowoomba Councillors are due to make a decision on yet another controversial development when they sit for a ‘special meeting’ scheduled for 2PM today at City Hall.

The proposed 40-lot development at Prince Henry Heights has seen residents hit out at the proposal after it was recommended to go ahead by TRC’s Planning and Development Department because it complies with all the provisions of the planning scheme.

Despite the recommendation, Councillors will decide on the fate of the proposed development this afternoon.

Council received 73 objections from residents however as the application complies with the assessment benchmarks of the Toowoomba Regional Planning Scheme 2012 it is therefore recommended for approval.

Sadly, residents have no grounds for appeal as the development is “code assessable.”
